Elias's father wrote in his final journal entry: the direction has been right. I will not see the destination. Someone else will. That entry was written three months before he died after forty years of documented directional faithfulness in a community whose SAES™, the Spiritual Apathy and Efficacy Score™ at the time of his death was still well below what we would call adequate. Elias returned to that community. Ten years later the SAES™, the Spiritual Apathy and Efficacy Score™ stands at 79.4. His father's direction became Elias's foundation. And Elias's direction will become someone else's foundation. Direction sustained becomes destination — not always in the lifetime of the one who sustains it. The proof of the comprehensive gospel is never complete. It is always directional, always compounding and always calling the next generation forward.
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Today recommit to the most important direction in your life. Not a new destination. Not a revised strategy. The direction that is right held one more day. That is what faithfulness looks like at Year Forty.
The most common form of abandonment in Kingdom work is not cynicism. It is the collapse of unrealistic expectation. The practitioner who expected transformation to arrive in Year Five is not equipped to sustain direction into Year Ten. The SAES framework and the Kingdom ROI™ — Kingdom Return on Investment™ metric are calibrated for decades not programme cycles. The destination is real. Its arrival is not always within the lifetime of the one who sustained the direction.

Hebrews 12:1: Let us run with endurance the race marked out for us. The race is already marked. The direction is set. The requirement is endurance — not speed, not short cuts, not a better route. Endurance on the marked course is what the Year Forty journal entry describes and what the Year Ten data validates.
The world rewards those who arrive at the destination and funds those whose results are visible within investable timescales.
God rewards the direction held — even when the destination is not reached within a lifetime. 'Well done good and faithful servant' is a direction affirmation not a results review.
Habakkuk 2:3: For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger wait for it; it will certainly come; it will not delay. The vision has an appointed time. The certainty is not in doubt. The timing is not ours to set. Faithfulness is the discipline of holding the direction until the appointed time arrives.
"Lord let me be found faithful in direction even when I cannot see the destination. Let the direction I hold today become the foundation someone else stands on tomorrow. In the name of the One who held the direction all the way to the cross Amen."
